Job Description
Scoop News Group is the leading public sector tech media company in the country and is headquartered in Washington, DC. We’re seeking a rockstar Project Manager to lead the charge on exciting client content campaigns and internal projects. This isn’t your average project management role – you’ll be at the heart of our client relation-ships, orchestrating the creation and execution of engaging content that drives results. In this role you will work out of our beautiful downtown DC office and report to the SVP of Operations.
As our Project Manager, you will:
• Oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts – acting as a primary point of con-tact for key clients, building strong relationships and understanding their unique needs and objectives
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of impactful content campaigns, from brainstorming innovative ideas to managing timelines and resources. You’ll collaborate with writers, designers, and other creatives to bring cam-paigns to life
• Work collaboratively with our Sales, Events, Operations, Digital Strategy and Content Marketing teams to develop project plans that ensure client projects are delivered on time and on schedule
• Provide a future roadmap for increased account activity to the internal sales team and clients
• Manage internal, company-wide projects, streamlining processes, communi-cation, outcomes, and productivity across the organization
A successful candidate will have these desired skills and experience (though all not required to apply):
• 8+ years of related experience, preferably with a focus on account manage-ment and content marketing
• PMP certification preferred but not required
• Exceptional prioritization, organizational, & time management skills
• Great communication skills (verbal and written) with a positive attitude!
• Willingness to wear multiple hats and get the job done
• Experience in managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven workplace
• Ability to multi-task required
• Maintain confidentiality of all levels
• Ability to interface with and handle sensitive manners with all levels
• Works well with others in a close-knit, team environment
Position Salary Range: $90K – $100K
