Job Description
Role – PHP Developer
Salary – £55,000
Location – Reading (Hybrid)
We have an exciting opportunity for a PHP Developer to join an fast-growing, digital educational company. As the PHP Developer you will sit within the Technology team, and be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using PHP – Laravel.
Skills and Responsibilities
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer, with a focus on the Laravel framework.
• Proven track record of working within an agile development environment, with familiarity in Scrum or similar methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms and the ability to integrate them effectively.
• Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Solid database skills, including experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems preferably Git.
• Bonus points for knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks (Vue.js, React, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies
